1. What is Global Warming? This resource covers the Earth’s climate system, the relationship between greenhouse gases and Global Mean Surface Temperature, the alarming rate of population increases and the impact of deforestation.
2. The Impacts of Global Warming
This resource covers the impacts of global warming in: melting ice and rising sea levels; melting permafrost; stronger winds and storms; heat waves, causing wildfires and droughts; wildlife and plants; and new diseases and infestations. It also looks at the possibility that global warming could become an unstoppable, self-fuelling cycle.
3. What Can We Do about Global Warming?
This resource covers environmentally-friendly principles that we can all follow, and specific ways in which we can become more environmentally friendly within our home and lives.
4. Making Our Club Environmentally Friendly
This resource asks learners to suggest environmentally-friendly actions that a sports club can take, then to assess and score Premier League football clubs of the 2020-21 season on the actions they took against eight different criteria. Part 4 is comprised of two downloadable documents.
